You're Back

After countless attempts, Fakir finally manages to make Ahiru human again.  A flash of light and a burst of soft yellow feathers appear and suddenly she's there, standing before him.  It's been years, and time has changed her.  Fakir is unsure until she opens her arms, smiling with tears in her eyes.

"Fakir"

And with that one word, his name, spoken from her lips, all the pain and loneliness vanishes.  Tears come unbidden from his eyes as he crushes her to him, holding her in his arms again at long last.

"You're back"

The key to unlocking the spell had been love, after all.
